A 43-year-old Christopher man was airlifted from the scene of a motorcycle crash Saturday morning on the Iuka Road.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Steven Morford ran off the Iuka Road north of the Apple Road and south of Iuka for an unknown reason. The cycle then went through the roadside ditch and went airborne before coming to a stop.
Morford was transferred to an Air Evac helicopter and then to St. Louis University Hospital. He was the only one on the cycle.
The Iuka Fire Protection District was called to assist.
The crash occurred at 7:11 Saturday morning.
