A 32-year-old Sandoval man has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to one of two threatening a public official charges pending against him.
Joey Evans of South Main was placed on two years’ probation, ordered to complete anger management counseling, and given credit for 52 days served in the Marion County Jail. He was also unsuccessfully discharged from probation on an earlier misdemeanor conviction.
Evans admitted to threatening a Wamac Police Officer or a member of his immediate family with bodily harm or sexual assault . The threat was made while Evans was standing in the middle of the road. The officer had towed Evans’ car several days earlier.
