Centralia Police say a 14-year-old Centralia boy has been given a notice to appear in court on three counts of criminal sexual abuse following an investigation into inappropriate touching of a female student at Centralia Junior High.
A 14-year-old female student first reported the incident to the school’s school resource officer on March 11th. She said she had asked the boy to stop the touching on several occasions before it became worse and was reported. The SRO was able to locate a few of the incidents on video surveillance at Centralia Junior which led to the juvenile boy’s arrest on March 31st.
Centralia Police say the investigation is on-going with two other possible victims.
Centralia City Grade School Superintendent Christina Becker reports disciplinary action has been taken against the 14-year-old boy to prevent any further incidents from taking place. The victim’s family has also been given information on how to request a Title 9 investigation for sexual harassment as provided under the school code.
