A 40-year-old homeless man has been arrested in Jefferson County on a Marion County failure to appear no-bond misdemeanor warrant. Will Jones was brought back to the Marion County jail on Saturday via prisoner transport to await a Monday court hearing.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Salem Fire Protection District were called to a car-deer crash that occurred on Selmaville Road at the Page Road intersection Saturday morning. Initial reports of injuries turned out to be unfounded.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a vehicle burglary that occurred at a home in the 1300 block of South Perrine in Centralia. The break in was reported at 11:56 Saturday morning.
