Salem Public Works Director Travis Sanders has announced that Airport Road in Salem, from Mills Cart to Boone, will now be closed to through traffic through Friday, April 10, 2026, for milling, pavement patching, and paving.
The road will remain open to local traffic only during this time period.
Sanders says the weather has caused delays, adding to the continued closure.
The city appreciates your patience and understanding as the city improves the roadway.
