Zachary Lee Fulk, age 18, of Farina, Illinois, passed away tragically on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at their home in Farina.
Zach was born on September 13, 2007, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Missy Ann Jones.
Zach’s journey was one defined by love, generosity, and an inspiring commitment to others. Having recently graduated from South Central High School, he was full of promise and zest for life. Zach was employed at the Goodwill in Effingham, Illinois, where he found great joy and purpose in his work. He embraced every opportunity to assist those around him, embodying a spirit of selflessness and unwavering support. His willingness to help whenever needed endeared him to colleagues and patrons alike.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Zach had a vibrant and creative soul. He cherished time spent playing video games with his brother and friends, sharing laughter and camaraderie that enriched his life and theirs. His passion for art was evident in his love for drawing, where his imagination and talent came to life on the page. This creative outlet reflected the warmth and depth of his character.
Most notably, Zach was a true hero within his family. His heart of gold shone brightest in his final moments when, with extraordinary courage and love, he saved his sister’s life. This selfless act of bravery stands as a testament to the boundless love that guided him throughout his brief but impactful life.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Missy (Kyle) Adler of Farina; his father, who raised him, Billy Landreth of La Clede; his sister, Audrey Jones of Farina; his grandmother, Lisa Berkel of Effingham; and a host of good friends.
Funeral services to celebrate the lives of Brandon and Zach will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 3, 2026, at the McGriff Funeral Home in Kinmundy. Burial will follow the services at Keens Chapel Cemetery, Farina, Illinois. A visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of Missy Adler, to assist with expenses.
