The South Central Cougars could not keep pace with Altamont in a 5-1 loss on Monday.
Altamont got on the board in the bottom of the first on a sac-fly from Kaiden Wolff. Carson Milleville was the winning pitcher. The right-hander gave up five hits and one run over six innings. He struck out 5 and walked just one.
Garret Shumate took the loss going 4.1, giving up five runs on five hits, striking out three. Luke Shumate, Ryker Dodson, Hudson Moore, Kaiden Harrell, Aiden Hoover and Colton Tockstein had hits for SC. Shumate drove in the lone SC run.
Milleville led Altamont at the plate going 3-4 with 2 RBI. Brayden Elam stole 3 bases in the game.
