Salem Firemen handled three calls Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
The first call was to an out-of-control controlled burn on the Denny Kuhn property on Cumberland Lane on Lake Centralia. The initial call indicated the fire was close to structures, but it was put out without any damage to buildings. It covered about an acre of ground. The fire call came in at 7 pm.
Salem Firemen were called to the Derek Ingrahm home at Salem Mobile Home Park to an electrical fire that resulted from a short in the electric box. The occupant was able to put out the fire with an extinguisher, with firemen checking to make sure the fire had not spread beyond the electric box. The fire call came in at 11:55 Monday night.
Firemen also responded to the Salem Holiday Inn at 3:13 Tuesday morning when a panel alarm sounded. The sensor had apparently been set off by spray from an aerosol can.
