Michael Dale Mansker, 79, of Salem passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was born on November 23, 1946, in Thebes, IL, the son of Gordon and Anna (Adams) Mansker.
Survivors include his brothers, Ronald Mansker of Salem, and Dennis Mansker of Salem; niece, Shelly Johnson of Salem; and many more nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Anna Mansker; and his siblings, Rose Mary Logue, Anna Powless, Gordon “Skeeter” Mansker, Danny Allen Mansker, Jacob Edward Mansker, Robert Eugene Mansker, and Billy Joe Mansker.
Michael was loved and supported by his family, and he brought them many wonderful memories of fun times spent together. He was always ready to make everyone laugh and he enjoyed having fun. Michael loved to watch Bonanza to see what kind of adventures the Cartwrights were getting into. He also enjoyed watching western movies with his brother. Michael had a deep interest in the weather, looking to see what kind of day could be expected. He loved to eat a good meal, especially his favorite dish, fried chicken. Michael was loved and appreciated by all his family, and they will miss his kind heart.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Interment will follow at Peaceful Valley Cemetery in Odin. Relatives and friends are welcome to the visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home in Sandoval. Memorials may be made in Michael’s honor to the Family’s Wishes.
