The North Clay Cardinals dropped their first game of the spring in the 2nd game of a double header at Olney 6-4.
Despite a 5-run deficit in the fifth inning, NC almost came all the way back.
Olney opened the scoring in the first on a 2-run homer by Brody Redman. They extended their lead with 3 runs in the top of the 3rd thanks to RBI singles by Owen Cycholl and Nolan Seals. Cycholl would add a solo home run to left field in the top of the fifth for good measure.
Redman was the winning Olney pitcher allowing six hits and one run over 4 innings.
Cooper Lewis, Ian Jones and Cody Zimdars each drove in a run for the Cardinals. Cayden Craig had 2 hits.
The Cardinals fell to 7-1 on the year.

NC opened the day with a 9-3 win as Jack Compton went 3-3 including a double and triple.
The Cards would score five times in the second inning. Cooper Lewis and Cody Zimdars drew a bases loaded walks and Ian Jones was hit by a pitch driving in another. Trenton Ingram added a run with an RBI fielders choice.
NC would add a run in the third on an RBI single from Compton.
Trevan Sidwell was the winning pitcher allowing 6 hits and 2 runs over six innings, striking out 7. Brody Thomas took the loss for Olney.
Ingram and Compton each drove in 2 runs for NC.
