Salem Police arrested a Salem man for residential burglary and possession of a controlled substance after a resident saw on a phone security system someone was inside her house.
When police arrived, 40-year-old Patrick Nix of North Dawley Street, was seen riding away from the house on a bicycle. Since the clothing description matched that of the person seen inside the home he was stopped.
Nix allegedly admitted going in the house where he formerly lived. The drug arrest was added after police found prescription medication had been stolen from the residence.
Nix was given a notice to appear in court.
