The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce hosts a Regional Business Expo at Kaskaskia College on Saturday.
Chamber Executive Director Marcus Holland says the expo is in the original Kaskaskia College gym from eight to five.
“We are full,” Holland said. “We have sixty booths inside. We may have a few empty, but right now we are full. We have outdoor vendors as well. We’ll have three food trucks throughout the day, so you can come for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack. It’s going to be a fun time for people and families to come out and see services and businesses that are in our community or coming to our community from the metro area or the outside area.”
Holland says a wide variety of businesses will be represented.
“We have the same home businesses, the window people, gutter people and construction guys, but over half of our vendors or exhibitors are not home-based. We have nonprofits, services, some retail spaces, we have a list of different things that will help families in our community.”
There is no charge to attend.
WJBD-FM will be broadcasting live from the event with updates throughout the day on Saturday.
