The Salem Select U12 girls went toe-to-toe with the St. Louis Legends Pre-Academy in an absolute battle, finishing in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Stevie Nix delivered the lone goal for Salem.
In scorching heat and battling through multiple injuries, this team showed incredible heart, grit, and determination from start to finish. When older players were forced to come off the field, the younger girls stepped up in a huge way—taking on major roles and rising to the challenge without hesitation.
Holding it all together on the defensive end, Hadley Michel came up BIG with numerous clutch saves, keeping Salem in the fight and ultimately securing the tie.
This was a total team effort—resilient, fearless, and relentless. This group proved they can compete with anyone, no matter the circumstances.
We also want to take a moment to thank White Repair LLC and Tate’s Plumbing for sponsoring this team and continuing to allow these girls to do what they love. It’s community support like this that allows our youth sports to continue to grow
