One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at State Route 161 and Route 37 south of Salem Thursday night.
Preliminary information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department indicates both drivers stopped at the stop signs and proceeded into the intersection where the crash occurred.
80-year-old Frances Osborne of High Street in Alma was northbound on Route 37 and 66-year-old Richard Smith of West Main in Salem was westbound on Route 161 when the collision occurred.
Frances Osborne was taken to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response. A passenger in his car, Jerry Osborne of Alma, and Smith both declined hospital treatment.
The crash occurred at 8:06 Thursday night.
The Salem Fire Protection District was also called to the scene, but reported no extrication was needed.
