Both drivers were checked on the scene following a rear end collision at the Route 37 and Route 161 intersection late Tuesday night.
Initial information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department indicates the brakes on a car driven by 64-year-old Jason Manion of West Bryan in Salem failed and he ran into the rear of a vehicle driven by 23-year-old David Bunten of West Locust in Salem.
The crash occurred at 11:33 Tuesday night. The Kell Fire Department assisted at the scene. United Medical Response check out both drivers before they declined hospital treatment.
