Luke William Hahs of Salem received his appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point for Class of 2030. He is the son of locals Dr. Seth and Leslie (Marsh) Hahs and graduated in 2025 from Veritas Scholars Academy. He received congressional nominations from Senator Duckworth and Congressman Bost.
Presently, Hahs is enrolled at Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. He will begin at West Point this summer and will be there four years in preparation to serve as an officer in the United States Army. He plans to pursue service in the Medical Corps.
