State Representative Charlie Meier held off a primary challenger in Tuesday’s election.
With 87-percent of the vote tabulated, Charlie Meier had 6,268 votes to Zachary Meyer’s 3,992 votes.
“I’m happy for all the support I got across the district. We’re glad to have won this thing. I will continue to fight for the residents in my district, which I always have. We have made a difference during the past 14 years, and I am willing to continue to fight for them.”
Charlie Meier won Washington County, 1,106 votes to 502 for Zachary Meyer. Zachary Meyer won Clinton County, 1,557 votes to 1,376 votes.
