The Illinois Principals Association Kaskaskia Region was pleased to host its 30th Annual Student Recognition Breakfast on Friday, March 13th at Greenville University. This event recognizes a student from each school in the Kaskaskia region for outstanding achievements in and out of the classroom. Over 59 students were honored at this event. The Kaskaskia Region includes schools in Bond, Clinton, Fayette, Macoupin, Marion, and Montgomery Counties.
Keaton Litteken, from Hawthorn School was recognized for this honor.
Students, parents and principals enjoyed a buffet-style breakfast followed by a motivational speech by Dr. Jason Leahy. Students were each individually recognized in front of the audience. Multiple students also received $25 Amazon Gift Cards courtesy of the Kaskaskia Region Board. All students also received a photograph with their principals courtesy of Inter-State Photo.

Hawthorn School was represented by 3rd grader, Briar Rose. Briar is the daughter of Andy and Chanel Rose from Salem.
