A 31-year-old Sandoval man has been charged in Marion County Court with two counts of threatening a public official.

Joey Evans of South Main was arrested by Wamac Police on Saturday following a series of incidents that began Friday when police had his truck towed because it had revoked registration.   Evans is accused of threatening to run into the police building with his truck as well as threatening the wellbeing of the officer.

On Saturday, Evans on foot in front of the officer on 16th Street and threatened to go to the officer’s home.   At that point, Evans was taken into custody and brought to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision of charges and a first appearance in court.
