Last night, Selmaville hosted Patoka for 8th grade night. 7 Rocket 8th graders were honored as they also came together to pack the gym blue in support of the school music teacher, Rod Mays, who is battling colon cancer. Also in attendance was country music star Drew Baldridge.
In the game, Selmaville won 25-22, 25-22. Alana Howe had 6 points, Gabby Goostree had 6 more with a kill. Gabby Gaston had 6 points with 2 kills. For Patoka, Adley Martin had 9 points and 2 aces, Maybree Goldsboro added 6 kills and Mabree Phelps had 7 kills.
The Rockets JV also won 25-7, 25-21. Gia Ward had 14 points and Khaeler Williams added 9. For the Lady Mohawks, Danner Smith had 9 points, 5 aces and 2 kills.
Patoka volleyball travels to Centralia.
