Centralia Junior High School principal Lance Boldt gave the curriculum report at Tuesday night’s Centralia City Schools board meeting, highlighting several of the school’s notable events and achievements in the past year. His presentation included examples such as the junior high hosting sectionals for robotics competition, the reintroduction of student council, the Sweetheart formal dance, the improved performance of the boys’ basketball team, and a trip to Washington D.C., which will take place again this May.

For discipline, Boldt reported that total referrals to this point in the school year are down 35% from two years ago, but up 30% from last year. Year-to-date, there have been 232 referrals in 6th grade, 309 in 7th grade, and 189 in 8th grade.

The board approved winning e-rate bids from Clearwave for category one WAN and internet services for the 26-27 school year.

Eighth grade graduation has been set for Tuesday, May 19, at 6:00 p.m.
