Elizabeth Ann Hite, 92, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, widow of Carl Eugene Hite, passed away March 11, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was formerly of Salem, Illinois.
Elizabeth was born August 11, 1933, in Xenia, Illinois, to Clyde Campbell Harmon and Iva Elizabeth (Fatheree) Harmon. Elizabeth married Carl Eugene Hite on June 10, 1951. They were married for 51 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Victoria E. Meador and son-in-law Eldon of Newbern, TN; one sister-in-law, Blanche Harmon of Midlothian, VA; 3 grandchildren, Mylissa Meador Clark (husband-Blake) of Dyersburg, TN, Clint E. Meador (wife-Carol Beth) of Newbern, TN, Elizabeth R. White (husband-Aaron) of McLeansboro, IL; seven great-grandchildren, Grace Clark (fiancé-Clint Perkins) of Jacksonville, FL, Kameron Clark of Dyersburg, TN, Graham Clark of Dyersburg, TN, Mason Meador (fiancé – Hallie Sherrrill), Morgan Meador of Ridgely, TN, Caden Meador of Dyersburg, TN, Kelsi Gains of McLeansboro, IL; and one niece, Laura Jane Shreffler (husband-Don) of Amelia, VA.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Iva Harmon, husband Carl E. Hite, son Carl L Hite, and grandson Carl E. L. Hite.
Mrs. Elizabeth Hite was a member of First Christian Church of Salem, Illinois. She was also a member of Eastern Star.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Paradise Cemetery in Salem, Illinois, with Phil Martin officiating. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or the American Cancer Society and may be received at Crouse Funeral Home, which is assisting the family with arrangements.
