Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is now open in the former Big Lots building in the Fairview Shopping Center in Centralia.
The Greater Centralia Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Wednesday morning to welcome the store to the community.
Ollie’s District Team Leader Danielle Trent described what shoppers would find inside the door of the 22,000 square foot store.
“We are a bargain outlet, so we do buy out various companies,” Trent said. “We’ve got everything from furniture to pottery to dirt, flowers, food, candy. Just a little bit of everything. We do have a free rewards program as well, so we hope that everyone signs up for that. We are excited to be here in Centralia.”
Trent says the chain has been rapidly expanding.
“Right now, we’ve got a little over 600 stores, and we are still continuing to grow. We’re very excited to be opening a whole bunch of new stores this year.”
About 50 employees have been hired for the new store.
Centralia Economic Development Director Rob Jackson says the City of Centralia is thrilled to welcome Ollie’s to our community. They appreciate Ollie’s and their team for bringing value and variety to our local shoppers, investing in the local economy and creating new jobs for our neighbors. Jackson says Ollie’s arrival is a testament to Centralia’s continued growth, strong local market, and their commitment to providing diverse shopping options for our region. Jackson encourages everyone to visit Fairview Park Plaza and stop by Ollie’s to find their “Good Stuff Cheap”.
