The KC baseball team opened up the GRAC going 1-2 in a 3 game series against #13 ranked Wabash Valley. KC beat them 13-11 on Friday. Hayden Bugger had 4 hits and 4 RBI. Conner Freeze, Jayden Bazile and Michael O’Brien added 3 hits each. Benny Lehman had 2 hits including a home run. KC had 20 hits in the game. Nathan Evans was the winning pitcher.
Wabash then beat KC 4-3 in game on of a double header that started Friday and ended Sunday. Bazile had 2 hits including a triple. Wabash also beat KC 9-7. Bazile doubled and scored twice.
The Blue Devils are 9-8 on the season and play at Shawnee today and at Southeastern Illinois on Thursday. They will host Southeastern for a double header on Saturday.
