Breese Central Looking For Program’s 2nd State Title Today

It’s state championship day at the CEFCU Arena in Normal for the IHSA girls basketball tournaments.  The 2a state title game will feature Breese Central taking on Byron at noon.  It’s the 4^th state title game appearance for Breese Central.  They won the Class A title under Nathan Rueter and was runner up in the 2012 and 2015 2a tournaments.  They also finished 4^th in 3a in 2018.  Byron won the 2a titles in 2016 and 2017 and was runner up in 2023 when it lost to Mater Dei in the finals.

The 1a championship starts the day at 10am between Deer Creek-Mackinaw and Mt Pulaski.
