One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at the northbound exit ramp from I-57 and West Main Street on the west side of Salem, Friday evening.

Salem Police say a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Zachary Campbell of Belle Rive was pulling out of the exit ramp onto West Main and apparently disobeyed the stoplight and collided with a westbound pickup truck on West Main. The driver was 64-year-old Lynn Bloom of Brubaker Road in Salem.   The front of the two vehicles collided.

Campbell was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.  Bloom was not hurt.

Campbell was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The Salem Fire Protection District was called to the scene, but reported no extrication was needed.

The crash occurred at 5:38 Friday night.
