Marion County Sheriff Kevin Cripps says a 29-year-old Salem man wanted on an outstanding felony warrant allegedly started to pull a hammer from his waist band and resisted being taken into custody by deputies at a gaming business on Thursday.

Dustin Taylor of Hotze Road was arrested on new charges of felony obstructing justice and resisting arrest.  Cripps says a deputy drew a taser on Taylor during the incident.  Taylor was taken to Salem Township Hospital to be checked before being taken to the Marion County Jail.

The warrant was for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance.
