The Centralia Orphans won their 3a regional semifinal at home over Cahokia last night 66-36 at Trout Arena to improve to 30-1. Archie Goewey and Devin meier had 17 each as Centralia led 18-3 in the opening quarter and 32-16 at the half. C’Narri Griffin had 14 to lead the Commanches. The Orphans will play Friday for another regional title against tonight’s winner between Mt Vernon and Carbondale.
Also tonight in 3a, Jerseyville hosts Jacksonville followed by Mattoon and Civic Memorial. At Mascoutah its East St Louis playing Waterloo followed by Mascoutah and Marion. Triad will host Highland followed by Taylorville and Chatham Glenwood.
In 4a tonight, at Edwardsville it’s the hosts taking on Quincy followed by Collinsville and Granite City. At O’Fallon its Belleville East against Belleville West followed by the host Panthers and Alton.
