The Salem Wildcats wrestling season came to an end as their individual sectional qualifiers were eliminated at the 1a Vandalia Sectional on Saturday.
At 175 pounds, Kyler King’s season ends with a record of 31-20.
At 165 pounds, Killian Merrill finishes at 40-15. He went 2-2 on the day and finished one win away from the 3rd place match.
At 138 pounds, Isaiah Findley finishes at 27-20.
At 126 pounds, Rylan Moore was just one win away from the 3rd place match. His great season ends at 43-9.
At 120 pounds, Kam Rasul finishes at 29-20.
The Vandalia Vandals had a great day with 10 wrestlers advancing to state including 5 sectional champions.
Centralia’s Bradey Starr’s wrestling season came to an end as he went 1-2 at the 2a Wrestling Sectionals at Granite City.
