Elizabeth Marie Springer McCalla, 42, of Carbondale formerly of Iuka, passed away on February 13th, 2026. She was born to Larry and Sandra (Stanford) Springer on June 27th, 1983. She was married to Robert McCalla on October 31st, 2014.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, her mother, Sandra Springer, both of Carbondale, her brother, Larry Lee & family, of Kell, half-sister, Lori Geels, of Indiana, uncle, Eugene (Cathy) Stanford of Woodlawn, aunt, Susan (Brent) Beighley, of Iuka, and 6 cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her father, grandfather and grandmother Stanford, and grandfather and grandmother Springer.
She graduated from both Iuka Grade School and Salem High School. She earned a CNA degree from Kaskaskia college.
She was an accomplished seamstress with requests for her creations to be sold both nationally and internationally. She had a great following both online and in person for her creations.
She was a grade school cheerleader, member of 4-H, Brownie, Girl Scout, and active at the Iuka Park.
She chose to be cremated and there will be a Celebration of Life at Evergreen Christian church in Salem on Friday 20th of February 5pm to 7pm. L.R. Osborn and Son Funeral Home in Kell, Illinois is honored to be of service to the McCalla family.
