Violet Arnoldy, 74, of Greenville, formerly of Centralia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Violet was born on Wednesday, June 16, 1951, in Albuquerque, NM, the daughter of Frank E. Barry and Cletus L. (Thomas) Barry. She married Dennis Arnoldy in 1972, and they later divorced.
Violet leaves behind a legacy of love, remembered fondly by her daughter, Tenille Cozadd of Centralia. She was a proud grandmother to Carly Arnoldy, of Centralia, and Eryn Starr, of Edwardsville, IL, and a doting great-grandmother to Natalee and Naomi Niepoetter. Violet’s brother, Seabern Barry of Centralia, along with several nieces and nephews, will forever cherish her memory.
Violet is now reunited in eternal peace with her daughter, Heather Lee Ann Arnoldy, and her sister, Thena Rose Faught.
As a member of the RLDS Church, Violet’s life was a testament to her faith and commitment to her beliefs. Her vibrant personality shone through her many hobbies, including her love for crafts and flower gardening. An avid lover of animals, she adored spending time with her four-legged companion, Buddy. Violet found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, relishing moments spent with her family, camping in the great outdoors, and rummaging for hidden treasures.
Per Violet’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and a visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia.
