A 72-year-old motorcyclist was injured when an SUV pulled out in front of him on McCord Street at the Locust Street intersection in Centralia on Tuesday morning.
Centralia Police say Roger Barrall of North Morrison in Central City was traveling westbound on McCord when ran into the side of the SUV when it pulled in front of him after stopping at the stop sign. Police report 38-year-old Jessica Backs of Addieville did not see the cyclist before pulling out.
Barrall was taken via ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment. Backs was not injured. She was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device.
The crash was reported around ten Tuesday morning. Centralia City Firemen and Lifestar Ambulance assisted at the scene.
