The Breese Central Cheerleaders are IHSA State Champions. They won the 1a title edging out Pinckneyville 91.91-90.68 for the top spot with Mater Dei 3rd. It was a great day for area Cheerleading as Carterville was 6th, Columbia 9th and DuQuoin 10th.
Triad was 4th in the 2a division to champion Morris, followed by Grayslake Central and Providence Catholic.
Edwardsville was 3rd in 3a behind Lincoln Way East and Lockport.
