Summersville won the SIJHSAA Class S state girls basketball championship for the first time in school history as they led from start to finish in a 49-21 win over Albers/Damiansville at Rend Lake College. Summersville finishes 30-1 and avenges their only loss of the year.
New Hope was 3rd nipping Holy Childhood Mascoutah 33-32.
Herrin won the Class L title beating Wesclin 56-35. DuQuoin took 3rd over Hamilton County 31-22.
