A 31-year-old Centralia man has been placed on 30 months’ probation after pleading guilty but mentally ill in Marion County Court to aggravated battery to a peace officer and felony domestic battery.
Eric Palazzolo of Holiday Terrace was arrested on the charges in December 2024. Two other counts of aggravated battery to other Centralia police officers were dropped.
Palazzolo admitted striking a Centralia Police Officer in the head with his hand and domestic battery to a household member for striking her in the head with his hand.
As part of the plea, Palazzolo was ordered to take his medication and ordered to pay fines and fees totaling $1,849.
