Salem Township Hospital has made some security improvements.

Hospital CEO Jim Timpe says the work follows a survey of the facility by Blue Line.

“We had our security firm do an assessment of the hospital to see if we have any risk factors. Where we need cameras, or some barriers for car’s that someone might a heart attack and your car is moving along by itself or something, just to protect the building and the staff and to protect the other patients. They did find a few things we could work on, and we were able to resolve almost everything that they found.”

Timpe explains the improvements made.

“So we added more cameras, more panic alarm buttons for our staff. We also secured our windows with special security film so no one can get in and out of the windows during the night.”

The window film will allow the windows to still shatter, but will keep the glass in place in the event of an attempt to enter.
