It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JoLinda Ross, 65, of Centralia passed away on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was born on Thursday, November 17th, 1960, in Centralia, the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Adkins) Ross. She married Mark David Wilson, and they later divorced. JoLinda spent her life surrounded by family and friends.
JoLinda studied nursing at Kaskaskia College and, after that, was a devoted employee at the Warren G. Murray Center in Centralia, IL, for 21 years, where her colleagues and those she served will remember her kindness, dedication, and warmth. She was an avid reader of her bible and a passionate crafter. She cherished the time spent with her family, who meant the world to her. JoLinda Ross will be remembered for her generosity, her devotion to her family, and her enduring faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Roy and Gladys Ross, her devoted daughter, Sarah Ross of Centralia, and Sarah’s siblings Charles Sebastian Wilson of Centralia and Roberta Lynn Wilson of Centralia. JoLinda was preceded in death by her sister, Rhonda Withrow, who undoubtedly greeted her with open arms.
A celebration of JoLinda’s life will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the Hillcrest Lakeside Chapel, with Jonathan Urshan officiating. Family, friends, and those whose lives she touched are invited to attend and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the First Apostolic Church in Centralia in her memory and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801 (618) 532-3523, which is honored to care for Jolinda’s family.
