Columbia knocked off Salem at B.E. Gum in Cahokia Conference play 63-54 in an entertaining game. Salem trailed just 27-25 at the halftime break, but Columbia outscored them in the 3rd quarter to take a lead into the 4th. Salem would try to mount a comeback but Columbia was there with an answer every time. Avery Gullion led Salem with 21 points and 4 rebounds. Logan Butts had 8 points and 7 rebounds. Payton Gullion and Luke Boldt also had 8 for Salem. 6-5 senior Creighton baseball recruit Brody Landgraf led Columbia with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Eddy Smajic added 15. Salem is back in action at home on Tuesday when they host Olney.
