Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on West McCord in front of the Casey’s General Store on Thursday afternoon.
Centralia Police say a car driven by 68-year-old Patricia Lane of North Main in Sandoval was traveling westbound on McCord when she had slowed to turn into Caseys and was hit from behind by 29-year-old Arizona Berning of Janet Drive in Centralia.
Both Lane and a passenger in her car, 65-year-old Larry Dellinger of Sandoval, were taken by Lifestar Ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries.
Berning declined treatment, and a young child in her car was not hurt. She was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The Centralia Fire Department assisted at the scene, and Lifestar transported the two injured to the hospital.
The crash occurred at 3:20 on Thursday afternoon.
