The trophy games are set for the Kaskaskian Classic in Carlyle today. At 3pm the 7th place game will see Riverview Gardens taking on Hillsboro, then Greenville and Flora for 5th place at 4:30, Okawville takes on Carlyle for 3rd at 6pm and then the 7:30 championship will feature Pinckneyville and Woodlawn. Last night, Greenville nipped Riverview Gardens 54-53 and Flora over Hillsboro 57-40.
At the Trico Pioneer Tip Off tonight the tournament finishes with Steeleville taking on Gibault followed by Trico and Carterville. Last night, Carterville beat Red Bud 65-34 and Steeleville over Trico 53-47.
Today is the final day at the Hamilton County Round Robin as well. Wayne City will play Gallatin County at 10 followed by West Frankfort and Hamilton County, then Edwards County and NCOE. Tonight, Gallatin County will take on West Frankfort at 5, then NCOE and Wayne City followed by Edwards County and Hamilton County. Yesterday, NCOE beat Gallatin County 44-38, Hamilton County over Wayne City 64-54 and Edwards County over West Frankfort 54-39.
Last night at Goreville, the hosts beat Harrisburg 70-50 and Benton over Hardin County 49-29. Today Hardin County takes on Anna and Goreville will play Benton.
It’s trophy day at the DuQuoin Tip Off. Sessser Valier and CWC will play for 7th place at 11, Cairo and Chester are in the consolation finals at 112:30, then at 2pm it’s the 3rd place game between DuQuoin and Murphysboro at 2pm before the 3:30 championship with Sparta and Herrin.
