Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 20-year-old Mark Vest of Walnut Hill Road in Centralia for possession of a weapon by a felon. The arrest came as deputies were investigating a domestic altercation at his home. Vest was taken to the Marion County Jail.
Salem Police arrested two occupants of a car for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine after neither would claim the small package belonged to them. Driver 50-year-old Gina Branon of South Sycamore in Centralia and passenger 28-year-old Matthew Harris of Iuka Road in Salem were both released on notices to appear in court. The Salem canine alerted on the car during a traffic stop at Kell and Washington Streets Monday night.
51-year-old Janie Lee of Mulberry Street in Farina was arrested by Junction City Police on an outstanding Fayette County no bond warrant. He was later transferred to the Fayette County Jail.
41-year-old Brady Vermaas of Metcalf Road in Iuka was arrested by Farina Police for driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was later released on a notice to appear in court.
