A 41-year-old Centralia man who had been released from the Marion County Jail less than 24 hours earlier was taken back into custody by Centralia Police on Thursday for disorderly conduct. Kyle Roe, who told authorities he was homeless, reportedly had several contacts with Centralia Police before he was arrested again. Roe had been released on Wednesday in another case on pre-trial conditions.
56-year-old Kerry Dowell, who is homeless from Centralia, was arrested on a Perry County warrant. He was later transferred to the Perry County Jail.
35-year-old Dennis Parks of North Sycamore in Centralia was arrested by sheriff’s deputies at the probation office on an outstanding no bond Clinton County warrant. He was being held in the Marion County Jail until transferred to Clinton County.
A Centralia man was driving a car he had just purchased on US 50 west of the Farthing Road between Odin and Sandoval on Thursday afternoon when it caught fire. Joseph Hutton was able to get out of the car without injury before it was destroyed. Both Odin and Sandoval Firemen responded to the scene to put out the fire.
