Rumors Bar at 600 North James in Centralia had to be evacuated for about an hour around 8:30 Tuesday night when a car hit a natural gas service line causing a leak. Electricity was turned off as a precaution until Ameren crews could make repairs to the gas line. At that time, everyone was allowed back in the bar.
There were no injuries.
