The Wamac City Council Monday night moved forward on seeking to demolish four more substandard homes in the community. They are located at 418 West 11th, 122 Arthur, 322 West 15th and 101 North Wall.
The board tabled a motion to increase the turn-on fees following disconnects for water and sewer service. Right now, the fee is $50 regardless of the number of turns needed. The proposed change would have raised the turn-on fee to $75 on the second occurrence and $100 on the third disconnect.
Trash pickup in Wamac will be changing. The new provider will pick up trash on Thursday instead of Wednesday.
