The Salem Recreation Department continued its tradition of holding a Halloween Costume Contest on Friday night before the trick-or-treating activity.
Thatcher Dobyns took first place in the age 3 and younger category. Selah Hern was second. Elsie Curry was third.
Knox Ramirez won first place in the 4 to 7-year-old division. Amelia and Hazel Erlinger came in second and third, and Wyatt Curry was third.
In the 8-to 12-year-old contest, Cooper Skiles was first, Isabelle Brooks was second, and Avery Crippen was third.
The Kyle and Abigail Landreth family, which included eight-year-old Tanner, four-year-old Layton, and three-year-old Tinley, took first place in the family division. Brandon and Jillin Bullard, along with children Brinlynn Bullard, Kynleigh Hardegan, Stetson Hardegan, and Gaven Goostree, told second. Third place went to Caspian and Evie Benjamin.
