Mission Salem will hold a building dedication celebration for their new building on Sunday afternoon.
President Angie Cartwright says the new building was constructed at 294 South Hotze in the Westside Salem Industrial Park when the city needed them to move out of the former Save-a-Lot building, when it was sold.
“The original part we had planned for was 40 by 80. Through a donation from Americana, we’ve also been able to add on a lean-to that we walled in that runs the entire length of the building, and it is about 20 by 80 feet.”
Cartwright says the building has been working great for their ramp projects, which are designed to keep people in their homes after they are no longer able to climb steps.
The dedication, ribbon cutting, and open house are on Sunday afternoons from two to four.
