Two people were arrested when found living in a vacant home in rural Sandoval.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was called to the home on Norton Road Tuesday afternoon when a relative checking on the home found a car parked at the rear of the residence.
Sheriff Kevin Cripps says initially no one would answer the door, but they believed someone was inside because dogs were parking. They eventually gained entry and found 29-year-old Scott Austin, Junior of South Main and 35-year-old Sierra Stokes homeless from Sandoval.
Cripps says evidence was found that the two had apparently been sleeping at the home for a few days.
Both were arrested for burglary, criminal damage, criminal trespass and possession of methamphetamine. They were taken to the Marion County Jail to await court action.
