The Centralia Annies won their 3a Mt Vernon Regional semifinal, knocking off Carbondale 25-19, 25-10 to advance to the finals where they will get top seed Mater Dei. The #1 team in the state according to Max Preps had no issue eliminating Mt Vernon 25-10, 25-19.
At Jerseyville, Chatham beat the hosts and Triad over Mattoon in three sets. At Waterloo, Mascoutah beat East St Louis and Waterloo over Marion.
