The IHSA volleyball post season continues tonight.

In 2a semifinals, the Salem Lady Wildcats will open up at Greenville against a very tough Nashville squad in the second game of the night at 7pm following top seed Breese Central opening up in the first match of the night as they take on Wesclin after they opened with a win over the hosts.

Also in 2a games last night, TTown opened up with a win over Vandalia, Olney eliminated Flora, Harrisburg over Johnston City.

At Effingham, 2nd seed Pinckneyville opens up in the first match followed by a rivalry clash between St Anthony and Effingham High.    Carterville will play at Herrin at 6pm followed by Herrin and Murphysboro.  Top seed Carmi opens their post season run at Hamilton County tonight followed by the hosts and Newton.  Fairfield plays at Mt Carmel.  At Red Bud, the hosts open the night followed by Althoff and Chester.  Top seed Columbia plays at 6pm tonight in Roxana followed by Freeburg and Father McGivney.  At Vienna, Massac County plays followed by Vienna and DuQuoin.  At North Mac the first match will see Staunton play followed by Hillsboro and Auburn.

In 3a semifinals, the Centralia Annies will open post season play at Mt Vernon against Carbondale at 7pm following the first match featuring Mater Dei.

At Mt Zion, Highland takes on Taylorville followed by the hosts and Civic Memorial.  At Waterloo, Mascoutah plays East St Louis followed by Marion and Waterloo.

Mattoon will play Triad at Jerseyville.

In 1a quarterfinal play, Woodlawn beat Grayville, Christ Our Rock were 25-19, 25-23 winners over Ramsey, Sandoval lost to Okawville 25-6, 25-9, South Central opened up their regional at St Elmo with a 25-20, 26-24 win over Mulberry Grove.

Tonight in 1a play, at St Elmo, Patoka will take on the hosts at 6pm followed by CHBC and Altamont.

At Casey, Neoga takes on the hosts followed by Villa Grove and Lawrenceville.  Sesser Valier takes on the hosts at Elkville followed by Christopher and Cisne.  Pleasant Hill takes on Maryville Christian at Marissa followed by Gibault and Valmeyer. At Nokomis it’s Carlyle opening up against Dieterich followed by North Clay and Raymond Lincolnwood.  Thompsonville will host Wayne City followed by Crab Orchard and Gallatin County.  Windsor/Stew Stras hosts Okaw Valley followed by Martinsville and Tuscola.
