A 46-year-old Centralia man has been charged in Marion County Court with ten counts of child pornography with a victim under 13.
Jared Lang, of the 600 block of South Poplar Street, was arrested following an investigation by the Illinois Attorney General Police Investigations/High Tech Crimes Division, the Centralia Police Department, and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department. The investigation included the execution of a search warrant on Monday at his home.
The Centralia Police Department would like to commend the Illinois Attorney General’s Police and the Marion County States Attorney’s Office for the countless hours they worked on this case, which ultimately led to an arrest warrant for Lang.
Centralia Police, in partnership with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, continues to work closely to ensure the safety of Centralia’s citizens.
